Status Bar in Gingerbread have very less features compared to Status Bar in JellyBean/ICS. Also there is no good third party status bar available. So the only way is to customize the status bar of GingerBread. Can we customize status bar GingerBread? yes why not. Since it is Android everything is possible. Look at the screenshots below. I have customized the status bar of my Galaxy Ace running GingerBread.
